The Pentagon showed the M113 armored personnel carriers transferred to Ukraine

WASHINGTON: the Pentagon released video footage of M113 armored personnel carriers that the US military is preparing to hand over to Ukrainian forces.

The current assistance package for Ukraine includes 200 such vehicles, which have been in service with the United States and its allies since the 1960s.

"US Army personnel place M113 armored personnel carriers on motor vehicles," the video caption says. The video was filmed at an army base in Georgia.

According to media reports, armored personnel carriers, which are used in the US in support roles, are taken from the presence of the National Guard of several states.

Since the beginning of Joe Biden's presidency, the United States has provided more than $4 billion in military aid to Ukraine, including $3.4 billion since the beginning of the Russian military operation.

Deliveries include artillery pieces, anti-tank and anti-aircraft systems, loitering ammunition and reconnaissance drones, helicopters and small arms.
