FORD SUSPENDS ACTIVITIES IN RUSSIA Amid EVENTS IN UKRAINE

MOSCOW: “Due to the current situation, we informed our joint venture partners today that we are suspending our operations in Russia from now until further notice,” Ford said.

At the same time, the statement emphasizes that over the past few years, Ford has been reducing its work in the Russian Federation. The company clarified that the operations were reduced to the production of commercial minibuses and to sales on Russian territory due to a minority stake in the Sollers Ford joint venture.

Ford also intends to support the people of Ukraine and transfer $100,000 to a special fund for humanitarian purposes.

Earlier, the American company Apple suspended the sale of its products and limited the operation of services in the Russian Federation. The reason was also the events in Ukraine.
