A fighter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who laid down her arms told how the General Staff called for “hold on” instead of help Vitaly Nikulin

MOSCOW: Earlier it became known that in the suburbs of Kyiv, Russian servicemen took control of a protected buried command post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 61 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine voluntarily laid down their arms.

A fighter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Maryana Fedorova, who voluntarily laid down her arms, told the Zvezda correspondent about how she was at the command post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where she was engaged in office work in the personnel department.

Earlier it became known that in the suburbs of Kyiv, Russian servicemen took control of a protected buried command post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 61 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine voluntarily laid down their arms, of which more than half were senior officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the suburbs of Kyiv, in a bunker, in a buried command post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Fedorova sat with her colleagues from the beginning of the special operation. They only went to the surface to cook food. Instead of help, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces only called for "hold on."

“The command said to hold on. Hold out for two days at first, then three days ... And so it turns out from the 24th until yesterday. Almost a month,” she shared her memories.

However, the Russian special forces arrived faster. Now in the hands of the Ukrainian servicemen are not weapons, but dry rations. The wounded are provided with medical care.

Recall that on the morning of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation in Ukraine. Its goal is to protect the population of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. For this, according to the Russian leader, it is necessary to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine.

The Russian Defense Ministry has repeatedly drawn attention to the fact that the RF Armed Forces strike only at military infrastructure facilities. With the support of the Russian Armed Forces, the groups of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics are developing an offensive, but there is no talk of the occupation of Ukraine, Vladimir Putin emphasized.
