Russian Defence Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu responds to British Defence Minister Ben Wallace

MOSCOW: Russian Defence Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu responds to British Defence Minister Ben Wallace. "The resumption of contacts in a goodwill spirit between Russia and the United Kingdom will help reduce tensions in Europe," Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation General of the Army Sergei Shoigu said in a letter to British Defence Minister Ben Wallace, 

responding to his invitation to visit London. In his address, Sergei Shoigu reminded Ben Wallace that "the possibility of a constructive dialogue was demonstrated by the parties during the visit of the Russian delegation to London in 2013", where negotiations of the ministers of defence and foreign affairs were held in the format of a "2+2" dialogue.

Sergei Shoigu confirmed to his British counterpart that he was ready to discuss all pressing security issues and, based on the principles of reciprocity, offered to hold talks in Moscow at any time convenient for the British Minister of Defenсe.
