Blinken spoke about the process of Ukraine and Georgia joining NATO

WASHINGTON: The Secretary of State noted that NATO's doors have been open to European countries since its inception.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that Ukraine and Georgia can make progress on joining NATO, subject to meeting the requirements. He also noted that the Alliance is constantly open to any European states seeking membership in it and meeting all the necessary criteria.

The alliance confirmed back in 2008 that it is open to Ukraine and Georgia. If they continue to apply for membership and meet the requirements, it will bring closer the solution to the issue of their accession, ”- Blinken said in an interview with NBC.

Earlier, Anthony Blinken said about the "threat" to Ukraine from Russia. In his opinion, now a propaganda campaign is being conducted on social networks directed against Ukraine.
