MOSCOW: The Kremlin said that the substantive preparation of Putin's visit to Turkey is not yet underway
There are no exact dates for Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Turkey yet. Substantive preparations for such a visit are not currently underway, said press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov.
“There is no substantive preparation, there is a valid invitation, there is an intention of the president to use it, but there is no understanding of the exact dates yet,” the Kremlin spokesman told Tass
In May, spokesman Dmitry Peskov, answering a similar question, indicated that the invitation did not imply any specific dates.
At the end of January, Turkish leader Tayyip Erdogan announced that he had invited the Russian President to visit the country. In addition, he expressed a desire to organize a meeting between Vladimir Putin and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
