LONDON: The Royal Air Force announced the need to increase the number of anti-submarine aircraft by a third in order to counter "Russian espionage operations." The Telegraph writes about it.
Air Lieutenant Colonel Ben Livesey said that over the past 10 years, Russia has expanded the number of submarines. His colleague James Henderson spoke about Russia's large budgets spent on the navy.
The publication reports that the UK has nine P-8 Poseidon patrol aircraft, each costing £120 million (approximately $146.7 million). Livesey believes that Britain should buy an additional three aircraft from the United States of America due to the active work of Boeing's production facilities.
