MOSCOW: As part of the planned Russia exercise of the Baltic Fleet, the crews of warships successfully carried out artillery firing at targets simulating enemy air attack weapons.
The firing was carried out by the crews of small missile ships Mytishchi, Odintsovo and Zeleny Dol. Illumination artillery shells were used as targets, delivered by the crews of the Akatsiya 152-mm self-propelled howitzer from Cape Taran in the Kaliningrad region.
Combat exercises were carried out using AK-176 and AK-630 shipborne artillery mounts. As a result of firing, all targets were successfully hit.
About 20 warships, boats and support vessels are taking part in the planned exercise of the Baltic Fleet, including small missile ships and boats, small anti-submarine ships, base and raid minesweepers, fleet support vessels, aircraft and helicopters of the naval aviation of the fleet.
