Donetsk: DAN. Kiev army units opened fire at the Donetsk People’s Republic 25 times over the past week, DPR People’s Militia deputy commander Eduard Basurin said on Friday.
“Twenty-five ceasefire violations by Ukrainian armed formations have been recorded over the past week,” Basurin said. “The enemy used 122mm artillery, 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms.” Strikes were delivered ta the following settlements: Yelenovka, Verkhnetoretskoye Nizhneye, Vesyoloye, Vasilyevka, Signalnoye and Oktyabrsky on the Donetsk axis; Ozeryanovka, Shakhta Gagarina and Shakhta 6/7 on the Gorlovka axis, and Dokuchayevsk, Novolaspa and Leninskoye on the Mariupol axis.
Five civilians were wounded in the strikes, including three in the shelling on Friday, and 12 houses and two cars were damaged in Donetsk, Dokuchayevsk and Yelenovka.
On September 11, a Ukrainian drone attacked an oil depot in Donetsk’s Kirovsky district destroying 1,300 tons of fuel and lubricants. In the week before last, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 19 times wounding two civilians. The package of tighter ceasefire control measures has been in effect in Donbass since July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of all weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and use of unmanned aerial vehicles.
